IDrive8's navigation system is actually pretty incredible and integrates seamlessly with the head-up display, etc., so if I really need directions, I'm more than happy to use iDrive8 and forego CarPlay. I am still a few hundred miles away from break-in service, but I can honestly wait. before the issue only occurred when using Apple Maps as GPS (when putting in directions), but now the map is totally off at all times. I updated my phone to the newest beta software thinking it would fix the problem, but now it's worse. So the issue is with BMW and not CarPlay?
